The Day After (and beyond)

This blog will remain, as will all its contributors with the exception of all those who have already decided to defect.

Over 20 contributors have proved that collaboration is not only possible but a healthy and fun alternative to throwing rocks at 'the other' coffee shop in the village after everyone has left.

There have been many names suggested for the blog, and given a bit of time we will settle on one.

It's also interesting to see how the traffic grew from an average of under 50 visitors a day in August to over 500 a day during the past 10 days.

However, the ethos ought to remain: If you're planning a holiday in Mexico, it is no longer necessary to keep looking over your shoulder!

I didn't defect, I was done :) Besides, communist states don't need political blogs. All internet posts will hereforth be published by the Propaganda Bureau.

It is necessary to keep our sanity.People who are claiming to be the only real thinkers on this island created that group. Are they insane or just plain ignorant?

Just a quick suggestion for a name: "The Cyprus Donkey", and as a subtitle, Denktash's infamous comment that here is nothing that can be called Cypriot apart from the Cypriot donkey.

As for language, i suppose everyone should use what they are comfortable with, but if we want T/C to contribute too, we should spread the word through friends, networks, facebook etc

I applaud and support the suggestion above to spread the word so that T/C will also contribute.

Haven't checked whether the comments above mention it already, but the huge increase in visits these days must have been due to your webpage title - which looks official and impartial. Many a people sought relevant info and search engines must have turned up with you.

Forgot to laugh hard at "έγκυρη και αντικειμενική"!!

Dear Sike,

we have a view but nobody prevents you from presenting your view. Therefore, unlike the newspapers you read, we can hope to be more objective.

As for the hits, dont lose too much sleep over it.
